$215 | Session Two Period Two | 10:15 – 11:50
Teacher: Joelle Erich

If you like the visual and physical world of math, this class is waiting for you (particularly if you have successfully completed an algebra course). This is an introductory course on the basic geometric concepts including measurement, angles, lines, planes, similar polygons, congruence, etc. Students will be involved in working on several different projects, playing math games, making origami, and using the computer to enhance their understanding of geometry. Students will also have the opportunity to be exposed to geometric proof for the first time. Some basic pre-algebra knowledge is preferred. You don’t have to be an expert, you just need to bring a desire to learn. If you are entering a regular Geometry class next fall, this is the perfect class in which to get your feet wet! (Please take the Geometry pre-test assessment test to see where you stand.)
