The goal of this course is to expose teens to the culture and methodology of the inventor, starting with the idea that even young people can be inventors. In this course, students will learn how to recognize, frame and respond to invention opportunities. They will be guided through the process of making a new invention or altering an existing invention. Students will research and find a solution for a real world problem, develop a prototype, and give a presentation on their innovative solution. In addition, students will learn about famous inventors, and hear from prototyping professionals of the Silicon Valley.
